Win or Lose Quote – Winning Isn’t Everything but Wanting To Win Is
Winning Isn’t Everything but Wanting To Win Is
Vince Lombardi
Many of us would like to have a winning attitude; most of us already do one way or the other. Some people are born with certain kinds of gifts that make them consistently successful in almost everything they attempt.
These individuals often demonstrate what is often referred to as an “entrepreneurial spirit.” They are go-getters with vision for their future and goals they intend to accomplish. However, no matter how successful we become in life there will always be someone more successful than we are, richer than we are or more powerful than we are (or at least it may seem that way).
The truth is win or lose it doesn’t matter its getting involved and playing the game. Check out these sports quotes on having and developing a winning attitude.
The real question then becomes: why not you? Why can’t you be the one with that special gift? The answer is that most people can be successful, rich and powerful; moreover, they already are. Most of us only need to discover our potential in order to unlock our true power.
Anyone can be a winner, but the main question is: how does one become a winner?
One of the most essential qualities that winners possess is an attitude for success. Their minds are already conditioned to believe that they will win before they even attempt to accomplish something; therefore, by default, their efforts and actions usually prove successful (that’s not to say that they don’t make mistakes and fail from time to time).
However, since you and I don’t always perform perfect tasks we must find ways of instilling within ourselves the belief that we can do it – whatever “it” may be – whenever we attempt it. Great quotes on developing and having a winner attitude are one way to keep this in mind. To develop such an attitude is not easy in itself; however, upon reflection of experiences in which our own lack of an “I-can-win” attitude has led to failure we can quickly develop and instill such an attitude if we so desire.

A true winner must first believe that he can be successful before he attempts to do something worthwhile. Even if you have many reasons not to go for it – your confidence determines whether or not you will actually attempt what you set out to accomplish.
You must start off believing in yourself and knowing that you are capable of succeeding; this presumes a feeling of self worth and belief in the power within oneself.
Once we realize that we are capable of doing certain things, but aren’t because we lack the necessary skills or resources to succeed (even with assistance), then it’s time to start thinking about how we can acquire what’s necessary for us to win.
Winners also possess a never-give-up attitude. They know that if they want to win it takes hard work and dedication; moreover, they believe in their abilities to accomplish something even when others doubt them.
Having a winning attitude means recognizing the journey is as important as the goal and maybe we already are winners!
